  • Taking Advantage of poker vip and loyalty programs

poker vip programsPoker VIP programs are a required offering now to attract and retain online poker players. With almost every top room in the world now offering some sort of Frequent Player Points (FPP) or VIP (Very Important Player) program, you should learn how to maximize the rewards that they offer. Pokerstars has the best VIP program. You can learn more about it by visiting this Pokerstars review. One day not too long ago, you signed up a poker room online and made your first deposit, got a deposit bonus and played poker. Pretty simple, right? That was back when there were only a few online poker rooms and essentially they would just advertise, players would come and play, and the poker room collected their rake. Everyone was happy so the status quo reigned supreme. Playunited.com is a place where you can explore the world of online casinos! Visit the casinos en ligne page!

So many VIP programs, so little time

Today there are literally hundreds of online poker rooms all trying to get your action (rake). Outside of the normal promotions like deposit bonuses and freerolls, most offer some variation of a loyalty program. The vast majority of them issue points for each raked poker hand that you play. They also reward you for playing tournaments by issuing a corresponding point value with the amount of “vig” you pay to enter the tournament (an example would be a $50+5 tourney, with the extra five being the “vig”). I will be adding a review of the Party Poker loyalty program soon because of recent improvements. The PartyPoker bonus is comparable in quality to any of the other poker rooms listed on this site.

If you wish to focus on building your poker bankroll and your VIP point balance at the same time then multi-tabling is a great way to do this. The same math that applies to your bankroll is valid here as well. In other words if you’re playing four tables and your average earn rate is 1.5 VPP’s per hand, then you will earn 6 FPP’s per hand with four tables running concurrently. With some of the prizes being offered (including a Porsche on one site!), it may be a wise investment to read up on our multi-tabling tips article!

    Your wish is my command

One of the leading VIP programs belongs to PokerStars and offers you tiered levels of recognition (BronzeStar, SilverStar, GoldStar, Platinum Star, Supernova, and Supernova Elite). As you progress up the VIP food chain you earn more points for your play and gain access to a larger catalog of items you can purchase with your points. The sky is literally the limit at PokerStars as they even offer a Concierge Service where your wish is their command! That’s right, you essentially tell them what you’re looking for and if your FPP balance is sufficient, they will find it. There’s no other program quite like this one.

Find the program that’s right for you

Assuming you’re not a million point producer (yet) there are still many programs that offer great prizes, seats to major live events, and outright cash bonuses. Here is a list of online poker sites with great VIP / loyalty programs:
